Passion Behind The Lens!
I love photography, always have. I believe there is great value in documenting our lives and all the things that make it worth living. To me, our world is amazing, packed full of priceless moments in time, waiting for all of us to capture in one way or another. I believe capturing these moments through progressive composition can add something to our lives by bringing to mind our most precious memories, those events in our lives that make up who we actually are. This is where amateur and professional photographers are an important part of our world, recording images for our selves and future generations to enjoy.
When I was very young growing up in Texas, I had one of those white plastic toy cameras with a rotating flash cube. It was my favorite possession back in the day. I took imaginary pictures of everything in sight. Later on, my parents bought me a Kodak 110, a Polaroid SX70 Alpha, and a few others. In 1992, my Father gave me his vintage 1974 Pentax, Spotmatic 35mm. What a great camera! Today, it’s painfully manual after using my higher-end SLR's but I must say, my best work has been achieved with this unit. It forced me to learn how to create my own exposure preferences and experience the satisfaction that this brings to the art.
I love everything about music and have for as long as I can remember. You’ll find music from all generations and almost all styles in my CD case or on my IPOD. You’ll see music being performed throughout my website as I really love nightlife and photographing music in the making, the emotions and passions involved on stage and in the audience. Concert photography is a blend of my passions as a music lover, musician and photographer. I hope you can see this passion in my photographs.
Thanks for your time and the visit. I hope you enjoy my website and please take a moment to drop me a line.
Peace.
Greg
